About

Damayanti Sarkar is a Designer with a focus on publication design, branding and typography. Having completed her under graduation in Graphic Design in India, she went on to do a Masters in Communication Design at Swinburne University in Melbourne. Since 2008, Damayanti has worked as a Graphic Designer at a number of boutique studios as well as large corporates in Melbourne and New York. Between 2017 and 2019 she briefly relocated to London to experience a new culture before returning back to her home in New York.

Working in different cultural contexts has been enriching and has expanded Damayanti’s design sensibilities. Sound strategy, new challenges and attention to detail drive her. Nothing pleases her more than to complete a project where something new and inspiring is made from passion and hard work. 

Her aesthetics spans across four continents, Asia, Australia, America and Europe, and she is an adventurer at heart. When not designing, she can be found exploring the world behind the lens of her Canon 5D, or cooking up a storm!
